Netflix Selects Ideal Star for Mr. 2 in One Piece Third Season

The Secret Organization is geared up to exert significant influence in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, even if the real showdown won’t unfold until season 3, and a adored, fan-favorite member has just been cast.

The streaming service revealed Tuesday that the talented performer has joined the One Piece cast for the third season and will play Bentham. The role can use their power to transform into an identical duplicate of any individual they’ve touched with their main hand. The performer, who is non-binary and prefers they/them pronouns, will depict a version of that role reinterpreted as gender non-binary, as opposed to as a drag queen, in the live-action series, differing from the source material and anime.

This performer joins a number of recently announced actors set to bring the group to reality, featuring head Mr. 0, brought to life by Joe Manganiello, Sophia Anne Caruso as a key member, and a familiar face, who also joins the ensemble as the monarch of Alabasta.

Though this character is a major member of the organization, the individual won’t make their debut One Piece the upcoming installment. Given the second season expected to adapt the Little Garden storyline, this represents a significant shift in the placement of the character’s debut, one that could indicate further changes to the plot development.

Escola’s blend of excellent comedic sense and emotional depth makes them a ideal selection for the part. Besides their current animated role in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they received high praise and several accolades for creating and performing in the popular theatrical show Oh Mary!, emphasizing the range they’ll contribute to one of One Piece’s most celebrated characters.

The streaming service’s real-life One Piece program is due to premiere for its second season on the tenth of March, 2026.
